African Teachings on Indigenous Eldership / Live Online Event
November 9 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm PT
Connecting with Indigenous Elders and Co-Creating a New Path Forward
With John Lockley, Sangoma (South African Shaman)
There is a spiritual hunger sweeping our planet, to heal from ways of living that are no longer working for us and find our way back to living in balance with the earth. To this end, greater numbers of people are seeking wisdom from “Indigenous” communities. As our interest grows, it is important that we know how to ask for what we are seeking in a way that honors, respects and offers something back to the communities (and individuals) in return for the wisdom and healing that we receive.
As Westerners, who tend to be in a hurry to get to where we want to go, we have a bridge to build in order to foster and nurture these relationships with Elders from across our planet who are already stretching to meet us in ways that may be quite unfamiliar to them.
John Lockley is a fully initiated Sangoma (Healer & Shaman) in the Xhosa & Swazi lineages from South Africa with over 20 year of experience. In this 2 hours session he will guide us on an exploration, from an African perspective, that addresses the cross-cultural global implications, misconceptions and protocols that will allow us to begin to build that bridge and craft a courageous new path forward.
This event is FREE and open to all.
No pre-registration is required.
