Marcelo Zaiduni Salazar is a Bolivian social communicator, traditional doctor (Amawt’a), and expert in ancestral knowledge, with over 25 years of experience as a spiritual guide. He has dedicated his life to preserving Indigenous traditions and advocating for their rights. Marcelo has held notable roles, including Vice Minister of Traditional Medicine and Interculturality for the Plurinational State of Bolivia and Vice Consul in Cusco, Peru. Today, he works as an independent consultant specializing in multidimensional indicators and the concept of “Good Living” (Vivencia Bien), which integrates physical, spiritual, and environmental well-being.

Marcelo’s research focuses on how ancestral wisdom can address contemporary challenges, particularly in the fields of holistic health and sustainability. He has shared his insights at global platforms such as the Center for Earth Ethics, where he participated in the 2022 webinar “Reclaiming Indigenous Paths to Health in Times of Planetary Crises.” His work highlights the role of Indigenous traditions in promoting environmental stewardship and holistic approaches to health.

Marcelo’s deep respect for the rituals and customs of Indigenous cultures, passed down from his grandfather Marcelo Guamán Zaiduni Salazar Yupanqui, continues to guide his teachings, emphasizing the importance of seeking permission and honoring sacred traditions.
